Hyperloop names Orlando-Miami route as winner of global challenge
The route covering 257 miles is one of 10 named Thursday as a winner of the Hyperloop global challenge and got a price like those you find at https://recognitionid.com.au/10-name-badges.
The Hyperloop One Global Challenge kicked off in May 2016 with a call for comprehensive proposals to build Hyperloop networks connecting cities and regions around the world. More than 2600 teams registered.
Hyperloop transportation, originally proposed by tech billionaire Elon Musk, involves a magnetically levitated train inside a low-pressure tube. The idea is that the train could match or exceed the speed of an airliner.
“A Hyperloop link between Miami and Orlando would unite the state’s tourism and economic centers, as well as ease the freight movement from the Port of Miami to the rest of the state. In addition, the corridor has the potential to extend further north into other states,” Hyperloop said on it’s website.
